The New York Stock Exchange, NYSE American, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE Chicago, and NYSE National, as well as the NYSE American Options, NYSE Arca Options, and NYSE Bonds markets, have released the US stock market holiday schedules and early closing dates for 2023. NYSE Group is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and a provider of mortgage technology, data, and listings services. People are eager to know about the list of US stock market holidays 2023, this will help them organize and arrange their NYSE trading operations.

The NYSE is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday. But on occasion, the NYSE may close early—either intentionally or accidentally. Many of the same holidays that other businesses observe (Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.) are observed by the main stock exchanges. Also, the market occasionally finishes its trading session early.

The US stock market holiday schedule is normally followed by the NYSE and NASDAQ. For your convenience, we have provided the list of US stock market holidays 2023 below. The list can be used to help you organize and arrange your NYSE trading operations.

Notes:

** Each market will close early at 1:00 p.m. (1:15 p.m. for eligible options) on Monday, July 3, 2023, and Wednesday, July 3, 2024. So, the Crossing Session orders will be accepted beginning at 1:00 p.m. for continuous executions until 1:30 p.m. on these dates, and NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE Chicago, and NYSE National late trading sessions will close at 5:00 pm. All times are Eastern Time.

*** Each market will close early at 1:00 p.m. (1:15 p.m. for eligible options) on Friday, November 25, 2022, Friday, November 24, 2023, and Friday, November 29, 2024 (the day after Thanksgiving). Therefore, the Crossing Session orders will be accepted beginning at 1:00 p.m. for continuous executions until 1:30 p.m. on these dates. And NYSE American Equities, NYSE Arca Equities, NYSE Chicago, and NYSE National late trading sessions will close at 5:00 pm. All times are Eastern Time.

The bond market follows the same schedule as the U.S. stock market with the addition of two holidays, Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day. Because the bond markets close early on several days that are different from the stock market. So, Bond traders should be aware that the bond markets shut early (Close at 2 pm) on the day before Good Friday, the day before Memorial Day, the day before Independence Day, and the day before Thanksgiving Day
